Short talk by Anne Alexander on Florence Dugdale, teacher and children's author and her commitment to encouraging the cultural development of Enfield through promoting the reading of children newly taught to read due to the 1870 Education Act. This event is part of the Enfield Poets Literary Festival. The Enfield Poets Literary Festival is a celebration of words, voices and creativity in our community, bringing together established and emerging writers for readings, workshops, discussions and more.
